February 10, 2018 Fun Run to the Mullin Auto Museum

Club members met up to make a run down to Ventura and the Mullin Automobile Museum.  When we arrived, it turned out that they were having the monthly Cars & Coffee meet, so we were treated to a wide assortment of cars.  Ages ranged from the early 1920’s to the present and from exotics like Ferrari and Lamborghini to modern city cars like Smart.  Countries represented included Britain, France, Japan, Italy and the US.  It was a joy to see the diversity and breath of the cars.  Inside the museum, the featured display was Citroen cars, ranging from the earliest to recent models.  There was an emphasis on the DS and SM models, which many believe to be the best cars ever built by Citroen.  Other displays included Bugatti cars, furniture and automobilia.  Historic race cars were also presented along with models and other items related to racing.  A special extra was Jerry Hathaway of SM World brought his land speed record setting SM on its specially built trailer.  He unloaded the car and showed it off to the appreciative audience.
